In accordance with the relevant arrangement, the Requirements for Chinese Visa application are as follows:
1. Application Procedures
1.1 Log on to the China Online Visa Application system (https://cova.mfa.gov.cn) to fill out the application form, print out the application form and the confirmation page, and sign the confirmation page and item 9 of the form.
1.2 Log on to the Appointment for Visa Application Submission system (https://avas.mfa.gov.cn) to make an appointment, print out the visa appointment confirmation form.
1.3 Submit the application to the Chinese Embassy in Vanuatu according to the appointment time.
2. Material Requirements
2.1 Application form completed online (should be printed-out and signed);
2.2 Original passport and photocopy of the information page;
2.3 One photo of the applicant;
2.4 Proof of legal stay or residence in Vanuatu (for citizens of other countries who are in Vanuatu);
2.5 Original Chinese passport (for those who had Chinese nationality before and apply for visa for China for the first time);
2.6 Certificate of COVID-19 vaccination;
2.7 Other materials for different visas are as follows:

For freshmen admitted in 2022, the original “Visa Application Form for Study in China” (JW201 or JW202) and the original admission notices of the school are required; 2. For students admitted in 2020 or 2021, the original “Visa Application Form for Study in China” (JW201 or JW202), the original admission notices of the school and the Back-to-School approval letters issued by the school are required; 3. For returning students admitted before or in 2019, the Back-to-School approval letters issued by the school and the previous X1-visa or study residence permit are required. |
Q1-Visa Q2-Visa | 1. Issued to family members of Chinese citizens or of foreigners with permanent residence status in China; 2. Issued to those for funerals or visits to critically ill relatives in China. *family members refers to spouses, parents, parents-in-law, children, spouses of children, brothers and sisters, grandparents and grandchildren. | 1. Original certification (Q1-Visa) or its copy (Q2-Visa) (including marriage certificate, birth certificate, other relationship certificate) showing the relationship of family members between applicant and inviting individual; 2. An invitation letter issued by a Chinese citizen or a foreign citizen with a Chinese permanent residence permit who lives in China; 3. Proof of the inviting individual's Chinese identity (Chinese ID card, household register), or foreigner’s passport and Chinese permanent residence permit 4. For emergency humanitarian visas such as those for funerals or visits to critically ill relatives in China, the identity documents of the deceased or ill relative, a death certificate or a critical illness notice issued by a hospital shall be submitted. |
S1-Visa S2-Visa | Issued to spouse, parents, children, or parents of the spouse of foreigners residing in China for work or study. *Children under the age of 18 can apply for S1 visa. Children over the age of 18 and their spouses can only apply for S2 visa. | 1. Original certification (S1-Visa) or its copy (S2-Visa) (including marriage certificate, birth certificate, other relationship certificate) showing the relationship of immediate family members between applicants and inviting individual. 2.
