On December 24, 2024, Ambassador Li Minggang met with UN Resident Coordinator for Pacific Island Countries Dirk Wagner, Head of United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs of the Pacific Islands Olga Prorovskaya, and other UN Agencies officials. Both sides discussed the joint efforts to assist Vanuatu on the relief the earthquake damage. They believe UN agencies can play leading role in collaboration and encourage development partners to work together to help Vanuatu rebuilding.
