On June 12, 2025, Chinese Ambassador to Vanuatu Li Minggang met with Vanuatu Prime Minister Jotham Napat. The two sides held in-depth discussions on bilateral relations.

Ambassador Li congratulated the new Vanuatu government on its achievements after taking office for half a year, particularly the progress of its 100-Day Plan. China will continue to promote exchanges and cooperation with Vanuatu in various fields, provide assistance to Vanuatu's post-disaster reconstruction within the best capability, and support the country in achieving national prosperity and people's well-being.

Prime Minister Napat expressed heartfelt gratitude for China’s selfless contributions to Vanuatu’s development. He reiterated Vanuatu’s commitment to deepening practical cooperation with China to bring greater benefits to the two countries and peoples.
