On 5 July, 2023, President of the Republic of Vanuatu Nikenike Vurobaravu held an award ceremony at the State House, awarding the Medal of Honor to three Chinese teachers, in recognition of their outstanding contribution in promoting Chinese education in Vanuatu. Ambassador Li Minggang was invited to attend the ceremony, and stated that China will continue to work together with Vanuatu to promote exchanges and cooperation in the field of education.
