On September 14, 2026, the opening ceremony of the Training Course on Vegetable Cultivation Technology in Vanuatu was held in Port Vila. Dr. Chen Zongwei, Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Vanuatu; Mrs. Gweneth Natu, Manager of Policy and Planning of Vanuatu Agriculture and Rural Development Department; Mr. Weng Yong, Deputy Director of Longping Hi-Tech International Training College; and more than 70 trainees attending the course were present at the ceremony.

Over 70 agricultural professionals and farmers have been enrolled in the training course. Over the next 45 days of intensive training, all participants will take part in the full range of theoretical courses and practical sessions.
