On July 14, 2025, Chinese Ambassador to Vanuatu Li Minggang met with Hon. Minister of Justice, Youth and Sports Job Sam Andy.

Ambassador Li congratulated Vanuatu on its performance at the Pacific Mini Games. China attaches great importance to the development of youth and sports in Vanuatu, and is willing to work with Vanuatu to further strengthen exchanges in the field of sports, deepen all-weather, all-round cooperation, and enrich the bilateral relations.

Hon. Andy said that China is a good friend, good brother, and good partner of Vanuatu, and expressed sincere appreciation for China’s valuable support in the reconstruction of sports facilities and the development of Vanuatu’s sports. Vanuatu is willing to strengthen cooperation with China in capacity building, personnel training and other areas, and make youth and sports a new highlight of people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.
