On 1 December 2025, the handover ceremony for police equipment donated by Ministry of Public Security of China to the Vanuatu Police Force was held at the Chinese Embassy in Vanuatu. Ambassador Li Minggang and Commissioner of Vanuatu Police Force Bongran attended and delivered addresses, with over 30 senior and mid-level officers from the Vanuatu Police Force in attendance.

Ambassador Li stated that in recent years, China-Vanuatu police cooperation has yielded fruitful results in areas such as high-level visits, personnel exchanges, law enforcement training, capacity building, and practical cooperation. China will continue to assist Vanuatu in enhancing its policing and law enforcement capabilities, deepening practical cooperation in these fields.

Commissioner Bongran remarked that China has consistently dedicated itself to enhancing Vanuatu's law enforcement and social governance capabilities, safeguarding the social security, and stands as a reliable security partner. Vanuatu is willing to join hands with China to strengthen cooperation across all areas, including policing collaboration.
