On 17 August 2026, the Chinese Embassy in Vanuatu held a party to party exchange event with the Vanuatu Land and Justice Party (GJP). H.E. Ambassador Li Minggang, President of GJP and Minister for Climate Change Hon. Ralph Regenvanu, Treasurer Hon. John Salong, Secretary-General Hon. Paul Paolo, and MP Alick Terry, among others, attended the event.

Ambassador Li gave a vivid account of the history of the Communist Party of China (CPC), as well as the remarkable development achievements China has made under the leadership of the CPC in uniting and leading the Chinese people. He elaborated a systematic overview of Xi Jinping Thought on Party Building, emphasizing China is willing to further deepen the China-Vanuatu Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

Hon. Regenvanu expressed appreciation for China's long-standing and selfless assistance and support to Vanuatu across various fields. He reaffirmed Party’s commitment to the one-China principle and expressed its readiness to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with China.

Following the event, Ambassador Li presented Regenvanu with copies of the Xi Jinping: The Governance of China series.
