On April 24, 2025, the Chinese Ambassador to Vanuatu Li Minggang attended the inauguration ceremony of the Online Chinese Classroom at Port Vila Central School. Principal Mr. George Willietien, along with faculty members and students from the school, totaling about 60 attendees were present. 

Ambassador Li had warm interactions with the students, indicating that learning Chinese can help make more friends, find good jobs, and broaden horizons. He encouraged the students to study hard, make daily progress, and become pillars of national development through mastering the Chinese.

Principal Willietien expressed gratitude to China and said it was an honor for Port Vila Central School to be the first and currently the only one in Vanuatu with an Online Chinese Classroom. He committed to making full use of the platform to promote Chinese language education.

 In November 2024, the International Chinese Online Education Company signed an agreement with Port Vila Central School to establish the Online Chinese Classroom, offering live-streamed courses to meet the Chinese learning needs.
